Attentive viewers of The Weeknd’s new music video for “Starboy” would have noticed a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo from featured artist Daft Punk. The robotic duo did not appear in-person but, rather, the iconic helmets were depicted in portrait form in an elaborate painting hanging in the house that The Weeknd smashed his way through. Well, now that exact painting can be yours for the low price of $140.
Well not the exact painting from the video shoot per se, but a bona fida print of the tongue-in-cheek portrait. Daft Punk revealed that their merch store would be offering the painting in an extremely limited run of 500, created from an archival ink print on a canvas measuring 27 inches by 41 inches. And even more cheekily, they call out all of the fake prints of the picture that have appeared online since the video release. See their ad for the item right here.
The painting arrives just in time for the official release of The Weeknd’s highly-anticipated Starboy album, which drops this Friday, November 25. Watch the video for the title single with Daft Punk below:
